The S.C. Highway Patrol (SCHP) and Crimestoppers is looking for any information that might lead them to a car that struck and killed Derk Lawrence Maricle, 50, of Lugoff, early Friday morning. A SCHP spokesperson said Maricle was walking north on Blaney Road some time before 3 a.m. Friday when an unknown vehicle apparently struck and killed him.
