A bill that would legally require every public school in South Carolina to have a school resource officer (SRO) has sheriff’s offices across the state questioning how they might proceed with limited funding and personnel. That includes the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) and Sheriff Jim Matthews.
