Blizzard fires perfect game as L-E buries RNE, 10-0

Sophomore Erin Blizzard fired a perfect game at visiting Richland Northeast as Lugoff-Elgin rolled to a 10-0, five-inning victory on Tuesday night.
The shutout win gave the Lady Demons a 1-2 record in Region 4-4A play and 2-7 overall. RNE fell to 0-3 in league action and 2-4 on the season.
In winning for the second time this season, Blizzard went all five frames, fanning 11 batters while not issuing a walk.
L-E sophomore outfielder Kenyatta Anderson went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI while scoring three times and stealing a base. Haley Rabon and Dallas Guerrero each went 2-for-three with a run scored and a stolen base apiece.
The Lady Demons travel to Irmo tonight for a 7 p.m. start in a Region 4-4A contest.
