Seniors, get your fitness on at the Bethune Rec Dept

The Bethune Recreation Department will be holding Senior Fitness Classes at the Bethune Recreation Department building for those 55 years of age and older on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning April 2. The classes will run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and will cost $20 a month.

Melia Campolong, a certified fitness instructor, will be leading the classes which will offer a variety of exercises to improve strength, flexibility, posture and balance using a chair and a floor mat. All participants must be ambulatory and able to follow verbal cues in order to safely and effectively perform the exercises.

Those interested in participating should call the Bethune Recreation Department office at 425-6009 to be placed on the list of interested participants. There must be at least 6 participants to hold a class. To register, come to the first class at 10:15 a.m.
