Golf tournament for FFS

Food for the Soul’s first annual golf tournament will be held Thursday, April 4 at the Camden Country Club (CCC). The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.

The first of the season at the CCC, the tournament will raise funds to support Food for the Soul’s soup kitchen and emergency shelter.

The tournament will feature dinner after the round, gifts awarded to every golfer and special prizes for winners of the tournament and tee competitions.

The cost is $65 for an individual or $260 for a foursome. The tournament is open to the first 100 golfers or first 25 teams.

Interested golfers should register by April 1 at (click on "Events") or by calling 243-8198 for more information.

Sponsorship packages are available; hole sponsorships are $100 and corporate sponsorships are also available.

The vision for Food for the Soul is to end hunger and homelessness in Kershaw County. The Food for the Soul Center is open to the public 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Visit the Center or phone 432-4771 to make a donation or to volunteer.
