Enjoy the sights and sounds of two Christmas parades this weekend.

The Lights of Lugoff Parade will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday, proceding down U.S. 1 from the BP Station to S.C. 34. The Lights of Lugoff Parade is one of the few night time parades in the state.

The annual parade sponsor is the Lugoff Optimist Club along with local businesses. Parade entry forms can be obtained at First Palmetto Bank in Lugoff or by visiting www.lightsoflugoff.com. For more information, contact parade chairperson Sherri Barrett at 420-0146.

The 2010 Kershaw County Christmas Parade will start at 10 a.m. Saturday at Laurens Street, ending at Rhame Arena. The theme is “Imagination Station,” featuring horses, fire trucks, floats, queens, classic cars, Santa and more. Visit www.kershawcountychamber.org to download an entry from or call Elizabeth Cox at the Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center office at 432-2525 for any questions.
