The North Central baseball program will hold a two-day, spring break mini-camp on Monday and Tuesday, April 1 and 2, in Boonetown.
The camp is open to players ages 10 through 14 years of age (fourth through ninth grades) and will run from 9 a.m. until noon both days. Players will be separated by age groups.
The cost is $35 per camper. Registration starts at the NCHS baseball field at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 1. The cost includes snacks, drinks and a T-shirt.
The finer points of pitching, batting and fielding will be taught both days by members of the Knights’ and other county baseball coaching staffs, along with Jeremy Ray of JRAY Sports LLC, who will teach the fundamentals of playing safe and technique-sound baseball.
Campers should come to the field wearing baseball clothes and bring their own equipment. Necessary equipment is a glove while bringing a bat is optional.
Pre-registration is preferred and campers may register with NCHS athletic director Louis Clyburn. All checks should be made payable to the North Central Athletic Department.
For further information, please contact Clyburn at 432-9858 or 572-2093 or, call NCHS head baseball coach Robbie Cash at 427-7688.
