Cliff Goforth Jr.

Funeral services for Carlisle Cliff Goforth, Jr., 57, of Kershaw, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2010, in Baker Conference Center, 105 N. Minor St. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Westville.

Mr. Goforth died suddenly, Sunday, August 29, at his home. Born in York, he was the son of the late Carlisle Cliff, Sr. and Ruby Coats Goforth. He was a mechanical maintenance technician for International Paper in Eastover. Mr. Goforth attended Hanging Rock United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He was also a US Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife; Diana Reed Goforth and his son; Chip Goforth both of the home, an aunt, uncles and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m Friday, September 3, at Baker Conference Center and other times at the home, 1470 Charlie Johnson Road, Kershaw.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hanging Rock United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 14, Kershaw, S.C. 29067.
