Mrs. James Gilbert

Mr. and Mrs. James Gilbert Broom were married Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Old McCaskill’s Farm in Rembert, South Carolina. The 6:00 p.m. ceremony was performed by Reverend Frank Griffith. A reception immediately followed.

The bride is the former Tiffany Lynn Barrs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Marion Barrs of Blythewood. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alice Spearman of Chapin, the late Mr. William Gordon Spearman and the late Mr. and Mrs. Melton Marion Barrs.

Tiffany graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2005 with a degree in Public Relations; she is currently employed as the Manager of Marketing and Business Development for McNair Law Firm, P.A..

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Frank Broom, Jr. of Camden. He is the grandson of Mrs. James Hollis Lybrand of Union, the late Mr. James Hollis Lybrand and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Franklin Broom, Sr.

Broom graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2007 with a degree in political science and received a Master of Public Administration in 2009.

He is the Assistant City Administrator for the City of Forest Acres.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

Matron of honor was Mrs. Lauren Harmon Hensley. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Elizabeth Blair Myers, Ms. Jessica Leigh Holsomback and Ms. Mary Virginia Goode. G.

Frank Broom, Jr. served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Zachary Caleb Hornsby, Jordan Taylor Stallings and Justin William Taylor.

The couple’s next adventure will include renovating their first home and adopting their first puppies.
