Mrs. Janie Gertrude Davis Brown, 85, of Centerville, TN, formerly of Camden, SC, died Tuesday morning in a Tennessee nursing home.

Her funeral service will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 10, 2013, in the Chapel Of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Cordesville First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the hour of service Friday.

Mrs. Brown was born April 14, 1928, in Bethera, SC, a daughter of Hazel Eugene Davis and Margaret Wells Davis. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Southside Baptist Church, Camden. She was predeceased by three sisters, Geraldine Russell, Doris Lynes, and Sue Crawford; and two brothers, Newman Eugene Davis and Lyndy Davis. Mrs. Brown was the widow of Larry W. Brown, Sr.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Gayle B. Collins Springette of Myrtle Beach; two sons, Roger Brown and his wife, Pamela, of Columbia, TN, and Larry W. "Ricky" Brown, Jr. and his wife, Penny, of Camden; a sister, Blanche D. Langston of Greenville; a brother, Bobby Davis of Moncks Corner; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
