Getting in some heavy lifting

Lugoff-Elgin High School had three of its athletes place in the top three at the South Carolina Strength Coaches Association State Championships held earlier this spring at Crestwood High School. Demonte Weston (far left) won the junior varsity unlimited division state championship while Dakota Jones (center) was second in the junior varsity 190-pound division. Illichris Gordon (far right) took third in the 190-pound varsity division. Under the supervision of Coach Garrett Knight, the Demons qualified five athletes into the competition including Sean Esposito in the varsity 170-pound division and Jacob Collins, a varsity 160-pound division entry.
