Spanish guests

The students in Christie Whitehouse's Honors Spanish 3 at Lugoff-Elgin High School researched a famous Spanish speaker in the areas of history, art, literature and music. Students then introduced themselves and interviewed the other guests at a meet-and-greet. Students taught their classmates about the significance of their person through presentations, videos, artwork and other visual aids. Students and their characters included (first row, from left) Zach Smith (Francisco Pizarro), Julianna Cobb (Francisco Franco), Justin Gilstrap (Fidel Castro), Logan Benns (Simon Bolivar), Stephanie Clair (Salvador Dali), Roger Stewart (Pablo Picasso), Brittney White (Malinche), Brianna Hasty (Celia Cruz), Paige Ansley (Isabel Allende), Angie Barnhardt (Eva Peron), (second row) Dylan Segraves (Christopher Columbus), Stephen Burnham (Bernardo O'Higgins), Cori Maness Mulder (Frida Kahlo), Case Horton (Pablo Casals), Taylor Phipps (Isabel) and Kirsten Baker (Catherine of Aragon).
