Boykin artist wins first place in competition

Boykin artist Denise L. Greer won first place (with a cash prize of $300) at the 22nd Annual Miniature Competition held at the Florence Museum. Her winning entry was a mixed-media painting titled “Southwest.” Judge Susan Lenz commented in the shows program, “Denise Greer’s SOUTHWEST possessed all the best principles of art and it’s craftsmanship, intrinsic beauty, and overall quality made it Best of Show.”
