KC Dixie Boys teams head to Lancaster

A pair of Kershaw County Dixie Boys All-Star baseball teams will make their way to Lancaster on Saturday for the double-elimination District 5 tournament.
The Kershaw County National team is made up of players from the West Wateree region while the KC American squad includes those from the Camden side of the Wateree River. The local entries will be joined in Lancaster by York, Rock Hill, Jefferson and host Lancaster.
Here are the two rosters for the KC entries, along with their first and second round tournament scenarios:

KC American: Devin Beckley, Nicholas Butler, Christopher Butler, William Cobb, Wil Conder,  Ryan Dabbs, Parker David, Donovan Engram, Campbell Jordan, Mikael Nelson, Connor Newman, Lindsay Pierce, Chase Stephens
Coaches: Scott Jordan, Darrell Engram, Lindsay Pierce
First and second rounds: Saturday vs. York (noon). If KC American wins, it will play the winner of the Rock Hill vs. Jefferson game at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. If KC American loses, it will face the loser of the Rock Hill vs. Jefferson game at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

KC National: Joshua Ayer, Gage Branham, Zander Branham, Parker Gogan, Dalton Haven, Typuintin House, Chase Jackson, Dalton Jordan, Jacob Kidd, Zachery Kirkland, Garrett McElhaney, Tanner Rapp, Austin Teague
Coaches: Jeff Branham, David Ayer, Troy Jordan
First and second rounds: Saturday vs. Lancaster (6 p.m.). If KC National wins, it will play a winners’ bracket game at 2 p.m. Sunday against a yet-to-be announced team which earned a first round bye. If KC National loses, it will face the loser of the Rock Hill vs. Jefferson against KC American vs. York losers’ game at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
