Host Lancaster outscored Kershaw County American, 8-4, over the final four innings to win the District 5 Dixie Boys baseball championship game, 11-6, on Tuesday night at Indian Land.
The game did not start until past 9 p.m. due to rain. The contest was the second of the night for Lancaster which eliminated York in the first game of the evening.
KC American trailed, 3-2, in the third inning of the seven inning affair, only to see the hosts pull away in the second half of the game to eliminate the final Kershaw County all-star squad still involved in post-season play.
Lancaster will now head to Citizens Park in Aiken to play in the state championship tournament which begins on July 20.
