In honor of local firefighters and law enforcement and in memory of the Arizona Granite Mountain Hotshot Crew, Heritage Community Bank will be hosting a memorial blood drive through the American Red Cross South Carolina Blood Services Region Thursday.

The drive will begin at 10 a.m. and last until 3 p.m. Chick-fil-A is providing breakfast and Taco Bell is providing lunch to the participants and the UPS Store is providing the card that will be sent to the family and friends of the Hotshot Crew in Arizona. The Palmetto Tea Shop is also donating various items for the drive as well.

Members of the local fire, sheriff and police departments will be participating in the drive.

"Their braveness has encouraged us to give blood and we would like to show local firefighters and law enforcement that we support them," Event Coordinator Regina Marthers said.

Marthers also said that they have been in contact with the fire chief in Arizona about the event.

The drive will be held at Heritage Community Bank which is located at 2220 West DeKalb St. in Camden.
