Something to think about

To say, “I am an American” makes us all equal as citizens no matter from what country our ancestors came -- whether Ireland or Germany or Russia or Africa or any other place. It is good to know our heritage and be blessed by it; but when we become citizens of the United States of America, we become Americans. It should stand first in our allegiance and first in our identification. How can we stand together if we place another country first in identifying who we are? To do this is to separate ourselves from other Americans. Something to think about.
