The Kirkwood Park Committee recently hosted a Christmas tree lighting ceremony as a gift to the community and to showcase the beauty of trees planted in the park by the city of Camden in the past year. City officials and elected leaders on hand praised the committee, which includes Mary Sue Truesdale, Bettye Lewis, Ola Beamon, Edna Smith, Etta Williams, Reginald Truesdale and Darrell Drakeford.
