The two victories gave the Lady Demons a 7-1 overall record after finishing with a 5-1 mark en route to taking runner-up honors at the Carolina Forest Pre-Season Tournament last month.
Jessica Mullins’ charges rattled off a pair of 25-19 wins against Cardinal Newman to kick off the night before downing Westwood, 25-13, in the first game. The Lady War Hawks took game two, 25-18, with L-E completing the two-match sweep with a 25-17 win in the third game tie-breaker.
The L-E junior varsity squad also came home with two victories as the Lady Demons won two straight from both Cardinal Newman and Westwood.
Following Thursday’s tri-match with visiting Camden and Lexington, the Lady Demons will travel to Simpsonville on Saturday for the Hillcrest Lady Ram Invitational, featuring some of the top programs in the state.
