Bishopville man killed in wreck

A Bishopville man died in a one-car collision Sept. 3 after he ran off the road and struck a tree on Black River Road near Camden.

Kershaw County Coroner Johnny Fellers said Derrick Miller, 34, died of blunt force trauma and burns around 9 p.m. after his car caught on fire following the collision.

According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, which is investigating the crash, Miller was traveling west in a 2003 BMW and was wearing a seatbelt.
