Racers, start your engines.
The 24 Hours of LeMons race returns to the Carolina Motorsports Park in Westville on Sept. 21-22; giving less-than-professional drivers the chance to show what they’re made of.
For the second time this year, the amateur car race and all-around good time returns to the Palmetto State.
LeMons events are held throughout the country to highlight the fun and uncertainty that comes with racing a car stocked with no more than $500 in equipment.
The weekend-long celebration begins on Friday, Sept. 20th with racing classes, car inspections, a block party and a car show in downtown Camden. The block party will begin at 6 p.m.
Races will be held on Saturday and Sunday with an awards ceremony scheduled for Sunday afternoon.
All-access spectator passes will be available for $30 at the gate. Kids under 16 get in for free.
