The Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County will hold its annual meeting on September 19 at 6 p.m. in the Jim and Pat Watts Performing Arts Wing of the FAC. Donors, friends, participants and volunteers are invited to gather as the FAC reviews its accomplishments in 2012-2013 and announces its plans for the upcoming 2013-2014 season, which will be the FAC’s 40th year.

Guests will be able to gather for a social hour to enjoy with hors d’ouevres provided by Aberdeen Catery. A cash bar will also be available. Entertainment at the event will feature musician Joey Jones prior to the commencement of the meeting.

At the meeting, new members will be appointed. New members include Laurey Carpenter, Lauren Branham Reeder and Dennis Stuber. Retiring from the board this year are Karen Eckford and Edwin Kohn.

Following the business meeting and election, the FAC will present the Ben Bostick Award for Vision, the Harriet Phelps Service Award, and the Volunteer of the Year award.

There is no charge for the annual meeting and the public is welcome to attend.

The FAC is located at 810 Lyttleton St. in Camden. Office hours are Monday through Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The FAC is funded in part by the Frederick S. Upton Foundation and the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional funding is provided by the city of Camden, Kershaw County and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina along with donations from businesses and individuals.
