Mikota is new Santee-Lynches COG director

Dr. Michael Mikota recently became the new executive director of the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments (COG). The COG is one of 10 regional districts which make up the South Carolina Association of Regional Councils. Regional councils are voluntary associations of local governments formed in accordance with state law to provide a structured method of intergovernmental coordination, cooperation and collaboration on a multi-jurisdictional level. The Santee-Lynches COG, established in 1971 and headquartered in Sumter County, the Clarendon, Kershaw, Lee and Sumter counties.
