Chalk up another win for the ladies.
Patricia Kirkland turned in a perfect sheet of picks to win last week’s Chronicle-Independent football contest .
For her effort, she was awarded the $50 first prize.
Margaret Murphy also went 14-for-14 with her selections, only to be edged out by Kirkland, who came closest to the tie-breaking game.
The Chronicle-Independent football contest is included in each Monday edition of the newspaper throughout the college football regular season. Contestants are reminded to place the correct advertiser in the space alongside their picks as several errors in that department have voided possible winning entries. Without the sponsors’ names, the entry is disqualified.
In this week’s contest, the Appalachian State-Citadel game will not count.
