‘You helped save my life’

My name is Deidra Nelson. I have been living in Camden for about a year now. I think it’s a wonderful town. I was looking forward to the Carolina Downhome Blues Festival this past weekend; I even made arrangements to spend a night at a friend’s house so that I could enjoy the festival.

I made the walk of two blocks to the festival and started having chest pains. I noticed a firetruck sitting there. I just want to thank the men and a woman who were there that evening because you helped save my life. I want to thank you for looking out for me. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be writing this thank you note. Once again, I want to give you all my blessings and please keep up the good work that you are doing for the community.

Your job is never ending and may God be with you always.

Thank you all, and take care.
