After having wrapped up its first conference championship in volleyball,
Lugoff-Elgin added some icing on the cake by completing Region 4-4A play with an unblemished record thanks to a 3-0 win over visiting Irmo on Tuesday night.
The Lady Demons celebrated Senior Night by breezing past the Yellow Jackets, 25-10, 25-17 and 25-9, to finish with a 10-0 mark in conference play. The evening included a ceremony honoring seniors Taylor Rawl, Taylor Mullins, Kayla Carraway, India Tucker, Hannah Cole and Allison Hyman on their final regular season home match.
L-E will open 4A state tournament play at home on Tuesday, Oct. 29, facing the fourth-place finisher from Region 1 at a yet to be determined time.
Before the varsity pairing on Tuesday, the L-E junior varsity team capped a perfect conference season by taking both sets from Irmo.
