Arnett Muldrow, the Greenville-based firm hired by the city of Camden to assist with tourism, marketing and branding efforts, returns to Camden Nov. 11-13, for a series of branding workshops.

The city of Camden is asking the public to participate in the initiative, with the purpose to create a consist image package for the city and its partners to use in building local pride, recruit investment into the community and market Camden to visitors.

While in Camden, Arnett Muldrow will hold sessions with city officials, downtown and area businesses, civic organizations, and the general public to create a community brand system. The intensive process is designed to immerse the project team in Camden to provide a marketing and branding plan in a very short time frame.

Residents are invited to share their thoughts on what they feel best represents Camden at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at TenEleven Galleria (1011 Broad St.) in Camden. Arnett Muldrow will present draft design concepts to the public, also at the TenEleven Galleria at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 13.

Now is the time and place to share what’s on your mind,” Mayor Tony Scully said in a press release. “You have an unparalleled opportunity to interact with a top marketing and planning team. Come to the public meetings, please! We need you now!”

Economic Development Director, Wade Luther, expressed the importance of the branding process.

“The branding workshop is a very fun and exciting process,” Luther said. “Public participation is key to its success. The brand must have buy-in at the local level in order for the city to successfully market itself to visitors and businesses, and who better to shape that brand identity than the people of Camden.”
