Waffle House fire

Around 9:40 p.m. Dec. 22, the Lugoff Fire Department (LFD) was dispatched to a structural fire at the Waffle House restaurant on U.S. 601 in Lugoff. Ladder 10 and Engine 10 arrived on the scene to find a light smoke haze throughout the inside of the restaurant and all occupants evacuated, according to LFD Chief Dennis K. Ray.
