Sheriff McCaskill honored

Retiring Kershaw County Sheriff Steve McCaskill was awarded the Order of the Silver Crescent by Gov. Mark Sanford for his service to the community and South Carolina. He was nominated for the award – the highest civilian honor for community service -- by S.C. Rep. Lester P. Branham, who represents Florence County.
