A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ronald Charles "Hood" Elliott, 64, of Camden SC, will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Rev. Jerry Gardner will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Camden, SC. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. Memorials may be made in his memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 810, Memphis, TN 38101 or Ronald McDonald House, 81 Gadsden Street, Charleston, SC 29401.

Ronald Charles "Hood" Elliott, husband of Brenda Jackson Elliott, died Monday, November 18, 2013. He was born in Camden, SC, the son of Alice Peebles Elliott Cole and the late J. T. Elliott. Hood was a multi-business entrepreneur. He loved fishing and was an avid bowler and former dirt track racer, a Nascar fan and Clemson fan.

Besides his wife and mother, Hood is survived by his daughters, Amanda Elliott Outen (Greg) of Cassatt and Angela Renee Barnhill (Ernest)of Camden, SC; sons, Roger "Diddle" Sims (Gretchen) of Cassatt, SC and R. Todd Branham (Melinda "Lindy") of Lugoff, SC; grandchildren, Susan Clinton Parker (Boyd III), Robert Lee Clinton, Timothy Charles Clinton, Michael Dylan Sims, Dallas Lee Sims, Ashley Nicole Sims, Dawson Lane Sims, Alexandra Elliana Outen, Leia Elizabeth Branham; great-granddaughter, Charleston Grace Parker; and sister Nancy Elliott Cobb, of Camden, SC.

Besides his father, Hood is predeceased by his brother, Jerome Terry Elliott.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
