Virginia Barrett was one of four contestants who missed two games in last week’s Chronicle-Independent football contest.
But she came closest to the tie-breaking contest and earned the $50 first prize for her winning entry.
Jimmie Gary, Michelle Kahler and Marion Price also missed two of the 14 games, only to miss the mark on the tie-breaker.
This week marks is the final week of the Chronicle-Independent football contest. Contestants are reminded to place the correct advertiser in the space alongside their picks as several errors in that department have voided possible winning entries already this season.
Without the correct sponsors’ names included along with the pick, the entry is disqualified.
