Another burglary in east Camden, another set of suspects. For the second time in as many days, the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) arrested two suspects Wednesday after they were caught burglarizing an east Camden home. According to a KCSO press release, a homeowner walked into her home and saw three people as they fled carrying a television and other items.

Deputies, with assistance from a city of Camden employee in the area, arrested Jessica Nolff, 21, of Cassatt, and Kayle Leake, 18, from Richland County. Deputies are still seeking a third suspect, described as an African-American male.

Kershaw County Sheriff Jim Matthews said the victim came home around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday and noticed something was out of place. When she went to be the back of her home, she saw all three suspects coming down the steps of her porch carrying her television. When she confronted them, they dropped the television and fled on foot.

A city of Camden employee who was in the area saw Nolff and Leake running, and assisted a deputy in apprehending them. The deputy located a backpack one of the suspects was carrying and discovered other stolen items inside.

Deputies transported both women to the Kershaw County Detention Center to await a bond hearing on charges of second degree burglary. Investigators are attempting to learn the identity of the male suspect in order to apprehend him.
