The Chamber Choir of Kershaw County (CCKC) will perform Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Fine Art Center’s Wood Auditorium.

For more than 20 years, the Chamber Choir of Kershaw County (CCKC) has showcased its vocal talents during the holiday season for the community, and the tradition will continue on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Wood Auditorium of the Fine Arts Center (FAC) of Kershaw County. Tickets are $5.00 and will be available at the door.

Presenting a variety of musical numbers, the CCKC welcomes two area ensembles to the stage for its Christmas Concert: the First Presbyterian Church (Columbia) Recorder Ensemble, directed by Jane Nevitt, will play music of the Italian and English Renaissance; and the Chancel Bells of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church will present arrangements of the Christmas music of Mannheim Steamroller. Twenty-eight years ago, Mannheim Steamroller released its first Christmas album. Over the years, this group's interpretation of many beloved Christmas carols, as well as original music by its founder and composer, Chip Davis, has become embedded in the fabric of Christmas celebrations worldwide.

The CCKC will sing Christmas songs from the 13th to the 20th century including several familiar carols and ending with the Gospel favorite: Go Where I Send Thee. The CCKC is comprised of some of Kershaw County's best singers and musicians ages 11 and up.
