The Lugoff Fire Department will have the honor of escorting Santa Claus through the neighborhoods in Lugoff again this year. Santa will be escorted through different areas of the Lugoff Community each night. Lugoff Firefighters enjoy this event each year so children can have the opportunity to see the "Jolly One" before he comes on Christmas Night.

The Lugoff Fire Department, with funding donated by the Lugoff Firefighters, has been able to host this event for several years as requested year after year by many members of the community. Many kids set out on the front lawns of their home watching for Santa to arrive on the fire truck.

Parents can call the Lugoff Fire Department at 803-438-2553 to find out what day Santa will visit their neighborhood. The tentative schedule, weather and staff permitting, is as follows:

Monday December 16th: US 601 area and US 1/Pepperidge Area

Tuesday December 17th: Boulware Road Area and Conifer Acres Area

Thursday December 19th: Ward/Lachicotte Road Area and US 1 South-Pine Mark/Four Seasons Area

Friday December 20th: Ridgeway Rd/SC 34 Area and Pine Grove Road Area

Saturday December 21st: Make-Up Day for areas missed

Santa will ride through each neighborhood on the fire engine from 6 to 8 p.m. nightly. Engine drivers will have the red lights activated on the fire truck and carefully use the siren horn to let residents know Santa is riding through.
