A.C. Flora sweeps past Camden

Camden kicked off Region 4-AAA action with a 65-50 loss to host A.C. Flora in a Tuesday night contest played in Columbia.
The Bulldogs fell to 3-2 overall with the setback to the Falcons.
Camden trailed, 12-7, after the first quarter and 30-19 at intermission. The host Falcons hiked their lead after three quarters to carry a 52-34 advantage into the final eight minutes of play.
CHS senior center Delton Bradford and senior forward Tony Doby led the Dogs with 12 points each while sophomore forward Tyrone Kelly came off the bench to score a career-best nine points for Ron McKie’s squad.

Lady Bulldogs fall to Falcons: After having opened pre-conference play with a 4-2 record, the Camden girls’ opened Region 4-AAA action with a 62-41 loss to A.C. Flora on Tuesday night in Columbia.
Junior guard Brooke Dixon led the way for Natalie Jeffcoat’s squad with 14 points while senior forward Quasha Jefferson added 12. Senior guard Sharneece Gary and junior guard Treana Perry were next in the scoring column with seven and six points, respectively.
A.C. Flora’s Haniyyah Howard led all scorers with 28 points.
