Funeral services celebrating the life of Pearl Wages Branham, 94, of Elgin, were held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Hillcrest Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. Reverend Kenneth Jackson and Reverend John Corder officiated. The family received friends from 6-8 PM Monday, January 3, 2011 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel.

Mrs. Branham, widow of the late Willie Henry Branham, died Saturday, January 1, 2011. Born in the English Community, she was the daughter of the late Grafton and Carrie Meetze Wages. She attended Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Dorothy Barrett (Ray) and Nadine Cox of Elgin and Yvonne Franklin (James L.) of Kershaw; 2 sons, Alvin R. Branham (Rochella) and Willard K. Branham of Elgin; 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. She was pre-deceased by a son, Roy Larry Branham and sisters, Lydia Wages and Katherine Hornsby and Thelma Martin.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is assisting the family.
