KC teams ready for region play

JANAI CRIM AND CAMDEN will travel to Dreher on Tuesday before hosting Westwood on Friday night.

With the holiday tournaments behind them, Kershaw County’s basketball and wrestling teams return to action this week with all three county public high school hoops squads inconference play this week.
   Camden, which has split its first two games in Region 4-AAA, is back on the hardwood Tuesday to meet conference favorite Dreher in a road doubleheader.
   North Central still has some unfinished non-league work to tend to as the Knights and Lady Knights have a Tuesday date at rival Andrew Jackson. NC kicks off Region 3-AA action Friday night in Columbia against Keenan.
   Lugoff-Elgin has Tuesday night off and will jump into Region 4-4A play on Friday as the Demons and Lady Demons make the short trip up Highway 1 to face Spring Valley.
   Here is the complete lineup of games and matches involving county teams for this week.

Tuesday: Camden at Dreher (BB – 6 p.m.); North Central at Andrew Jackson (BB – 6 p.m.); Camden Military Academy at Camden (WR – 6 p.m.); Lugoff-Elgin, Dutch Fork at White Knoll (WR – 6 p.m.); North Central, Central at Andrew Jackson (WR – 6 p.m.)

Wednesday: Camden, Dreher at A.C. Flora (WR – 6 p.m.); Lugoff-Elgin, Irmo at Sumter (WR – 6 p.m.); Pinewood Prep at Camden Military Academy (BB – 6:30 p.m.)

Thursday: Heathwood Hall at Camden Military Academy (BB – 6:30 p.m.)

Friday: Camden at Dreher Wrestling Tournament (5 p.m.); Westwood at Camden (BB – 6 p.m.); Lugoff-Elgin at Spring Valley (BB – 6 p.m.); North Central at Keenan (BB – 6 p.m.); Camden at Great Falls (BB - 8 p.m.)

Saturday: Camden at Dreher Wrestling Tournament (9 a.m.); North Central, Camden Military Academy at Hartsville Duals (WR – 9 a.m.)
