Dr. Robert Kiger of Camden will present his lecture and slideshow “The Wizard: A Man History Almost Forgot,” Jan. 30 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Books on Broad.

Dr. Robert Kiger will present "The Wizard: A Man History Almost Forgot" Jan. 30, 6-7:30pm at Books on Broad, 944 Broad St., Camden. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited. Please arrive early, unless you don’t mind standing.

When Dr. Robert Kiger retired from his practice of cardiology in Camden, his interests turned to writing poetry, a novel, short essays and researching various topics of neglected interest.

His talk and slide presentation -- "The Wizard: A Man History Almost Forgot" -- will demonstrate how the life and contributions of an unusual man have given us most of the comforts and accustomed necessities for our daily life, plus some interesting intrigue surrounding this historical figure. Kiger encourages anyone interested to attend this presentation "and find out who is The Wizard!"

This event is part of Books on Broad’s Common Wealth series. This series invites members of the community who are recognized as experts on certain topics to share their knowledge with the community. Books on Broad believes that the community is rich with citizens who possess a wealth of diverse knowledge, a great community asset.

Books on Broad is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 am – 6 pm, and on Saturday from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
