Learn the parts of a computer, how to use a mouse, and a little terminology. For those who’ve never used a computer before. Registration Required.

The Mindful Family: How to Live a Happier, Healthier Life: Session 3: Turning Towards Calm: Cultivating curiosity and kindness.

This free series of four workshops will guide parents of children 8 and up on techniques that alleviate stress al families face: balancing school, work, family dynamics, and all other issues life throws our way. Discussion will cover gaining improved focus, sleep, moods and more!

Lisa Riente is a certified yoga instructor with years of experience, most recently as owner/operator of Blue Dog Yoga in Camden. She has expanded her practice to include mindfulness training, which has been introduced in her studio and in Kershaw County Schools.

This meeting will discuss Ecology of a Cracker Childhood by Janisse Ray. Please register & pick up your readings at the Camden Branch.

Knowing Nature, Now and Then:

Join Austin Jenkins, a Camden native who teaches Natural History of SC at USC Sumter for an informal discussion. This informative talk will focus on the unique natural history of Kershaw and surrounding counties. Through an array of amazing adaptations, Jenkins will show how the geology of the past affects the biology of the present. Come with your curiosity and questions as we celebrate the species found right here on our local lands.
