A celebration of life for Stan Williams, 49, of Lugoff, SC, will be held at the home of Bobby and Paula Joseph on Saturday, February 22, at 5:00 PM. Stan passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014. He was born in Camden, SC, the son of the late Doris Emerson Williams and Charles Lindburgh Williams.

A nature enthusiast, Stan prided himself as an expert horticulturist. Being self-employed enabled Stan to do what he loved most in life, working and being in the outdoors. He was at his best in our natural world. Stan loved camping and fishing. He treasured his relationships with his friends and enjoyed spending time listening to their stories. Stan loved wildlife and his beautiful Golden Retrievers, Hodie, Moon, and Bennett. He is a graduate of Joseph Kershaw Academy.

Stan is survived by his brother, Michael Emerson Williams and his sister-in-law, Sharon Jones of Camden; sister, Marianne W. McKenzie and brother-in-law, LaVerne McKenzie of Camden; nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

To honor Stan’s great love of animals, memorials can be made to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter at 460 S. Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020.
