Low paid state workers

It’s a shame the way the Department of Transportation pays workers that work on highways patching roads, cutting grass, opening clogged pipes, etc., etc.

I retired two years ago. I was paid less than 22,000 a year. Seventeen years with the state, my retirement check is $500 a month. Out of that, I pay $100 a month for health insurance. Our elected officials want to cut the retirement checks. Shame, shame, shame. It’s the same old story: help the rich and the hell with the little man.

What really makes me mad is anyone can come in this country and get any kind of help, even though they never paid a dime in taxes. The ordinary citizens catch hell getting help.
