The West Wateree Rotary announces the first inaugural Wild Game Dinner and Silent Auction the evening of April 5 at Old McCaskill Farm in Rembert to raise money for graduating Lugoff-Elgin High School (L-EHS) seniors. Club President Amy Schofield describes the event as "down-home and delicious," with wide support from the community. "I’m particularly excited by how we will be showcasing local talent. Hunters in our club provided the game, local musicians will provide the blue grass, and a wonderful local farm will be providing a great setting and a great cook."

Since 1990, the West Wateree Rotary Club has been committed to providing scholarships to L-EHS seniors. Through fundraising efforts of our members, $63,500 in scholarships have been awarded to 97 local students. Today, more than ever, obtaining a college degree is challenging. As tuition costs rise and the economy affects more and more families, the West Wateree Rotary Club has committed to providing additional scholarships for the children of our friends and neighbors in Kershaw County. With the Wild Game fundraiser, the club hopes to double the number of scholarships it currently provides.

Tickets are available for purchase at $35/per ticket or $65/per couple. Tickets may be purchased at First Community Bank, Mid Carolina Credit Union or First Citizens Bank in Kershaw County.
