Golf tourney benefits Food for the Soul

The second annual Food for the Soul Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, April 3 at the Camden Country Club.
The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start. All proceeds from the 18-hole event will support Food for the Soul’s soup kitchen and emergency shelter.
The tourney will feature dinner after the round of golf, each golfer receiving free gifts and special prizes being awarded to the winners of the tournament and those who win the on-course contests.
The cost is $70 for an individual player and $280 for a four-player team. The tournament is open to the first 100 players or, the first 25 teams registered. Interested players and teams should register by Thursday, March 27 at and click on “Golf” tab for more information.
This year, WIS-TV personality, Joe Pinner, will be on hand to play on the celebrity golf team.
Sponsorship packages are available while hole sponsorships are being offered for $100. Corporate level sponsorships are also available. Call (803) 243-8198 for more information on the event.
The vision for Food for the Soul is to end hunger and homelessness in Kershaw County. The Food for the Soul Center is open to the public from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday through Friday.
