Scoring three goals in the first 10 minutes of Tuesday’s match with visiting Lugoff-Elgin, Spring Valley drew away to a 4-0 win over the Demons.
The contest was the first in Region 4-4A play for both sides.
Spring Valley would notch its final goal of the match in the closing 10 minutes against a Demon defensive unit which had gathered itself after the three quick goals.
The Vikings peppered the L-E net with eight of their 19 shots finding their way on goal. Patrick Sigman turned aside four shots in between the posts for the visitors. The Demons had just one shot and it was not on net in the contest.
Spring Valley completed a sweep which began with a 5-0 shutout in the junior varsity contest which opened the evening.
Tonight, the Demons will play host to Blythewood in a 7 p.m. start at Lugoff-Elgin Stadium.
