Now this is how you cap off a high school career.
Camden High senior Sharneece Gary scored all 12 of her points on 3-point jumpers to help the North squad to a 71-64 win over the South in Saturday’s North-South girls’ all-star basketball game played at Lexington High School.
For her effort, the 5-foot-4 guard was named as the game’s most valuable player for the North team.
Two of Gary’s baskets came in the final 10 minutes of play in helping the North rally back from a deficit to take the lead for keeps at 62-53 with a little more than three minutes left in the contest.
Gary led Natalie Jeffcoat’s Lady Bulldogs in scoring this past season as she averaged 13.5 points per game. The three-year starter was deadly from beyond the 3-point arc, draining a team-best 63 from distance this past season.
Gary dished out 2.4 assists per game while having more than two steals per contest.
