Patriot’s Day at BDK

Mrs. Robin Sowell’s fourth grade class at Baron deKalb Elementary School recently recognized Patriot’s Day. Patriot’s Day is part of the "Why America is Free" curriculum. During this event, students were immersed in the Revolutionary Era and rotated in groups through different stations that included the language of the fan, militia training, the taking of the tea, quill and ink writing, historic games and a Colonial dance.
