Erin Blizzard held visiting Irmo to one hit in helping the Lugoff-Elgin softball team to an 11-1 thumping over the visiting Yellow Jackets last Friday night.
The win was the third in a row for James Marlow’s troops who improved to 1-2 in Region 4-4A play and 10-2 overall.
Blizzard, a junior right-hander, fanned 13 Irmo batters on the night. She did not walk a batter while the lone run which the guests scored was unearned.
Senior Taylor Rawl led a balanced Lady Demon offensive attack as she collected three hits in three official at-bats including a triple and a double. Sophie Holland went 2-for-3, with two doubles while Kenyatta Anderson added a pair of singles. Delaney Guerrero, Taylor Mullins, Kelly Graham and Krista Beaudry each had one hit for the winners.
