CHS honors state champs at Saturday's Dogfest

Camden High School will recognize its 1988 and the 1989 AAA state championship baseball teams as the school celebrates Dogfest on Saturday, April 5 at American Legion Park in Camden.
The centerpiece of the day will be the varsity baseball game between the Bulldogs and rival Lugoff-Elgin which is set for at 12:15 p.m. start. The junior varsity game between the two rivals will follow.
On the baseball field, Dogfest will begin at 9 a.m. with a Camden High alumni baseball game. At noon, the 1998 and ’89 teams will be recognized on the field prior to the varsity contest and those players will be treated to lunch from Ronnie’s Ribs.
Also on the docket that day is an 11 a.m. softball doubleheader between Camden and Darlington. At 10 a.m., the CHS Academic Booster Club is sponsoring a Color Run. There will also be jump castles, booths, food and activities set up for the day as well.
