The Elgin Police Department (EPD) is participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) safe disposal of unused or out of date prescription drugs.

There will be an officer at the entrance to the Elgin Town Hall/Police Department standing by with a disposal box to drop off prescription medications/drugs. There will be no questions asked and the EPD appreciates your help in keeping prescription drugs out of landfills, ground water and perhaps most importantly off the streets for illegal use. The date of the collection is Saturday, April 26 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
