The host Demons had an early scoring opportunity when the contest was still scoreless as Andrew Place fired the lone shot on goal for the hosts, which went wide of the post.
Spring Valley sent 24 shots on the L-E net with 16 of those on goal. Patrick Sigman made 11 saves in goal for the Demons on the night.
The Vikings also took the junior varsity contest, winning 4-0 in Friday’s opener.
